The difference between our High Yield Savings account and the regular Savings account is the rate. Our High Yield Savings account offers two tiers and the rate is based on the balance in your account each day. Both products can be used to help you reach your savings goals.
Members can open a High Yield Savings account online or by visiting a local branch. A $25 minimum opening deposit is required to get started.
There are no monthly service fees. However, if your balance is below $10,000, you will receive the lower rate for this account. View our full list of fees.
You can access your High Yield Savings through digital banking, by processing a transfer, or by visiting a Coastal branch.
There is no limit to the amount you can have on deposit in a High Yield Savings account. However, deposits will be subject to our Funds Availability Policy and Mobile Deposit limitations.
You can deposit checks from international financial institutions at Coastal Credit Union. Please note that processing these checks can take 45-90 days as we work with foreign banks to collect the funds.
